About the Journal

The African Journal of Environmental Research (AJER) is a peer-reviewed Journal established to provide practitioners, educators, researchers and students with state-of-the-art research output. This is in order to promote scholarship, research, professionalism and excellence in the varied disciplines of the built and human  environment. The focus is to bring together theory, empiricism, practical developments and innovations in the built environment. AJER publishes well-researched articles in all specialisms in the fields of Architecture, Building and Construction Management, Estate Management, Fine and Applied Arts, Urban and Regional Planning, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Transportation Planning, Geography, Environmental Management, Meteorology/Climatology, Environmental Law, Environmental Economics, Environmental Health and Environmental Psychology


Call for papers


 The Editorial Committee invites submission of articles for Nov-Dec 2022 edition in line with her stated objectives. Please note the following important dates:

  • 15 September 2022 – End of submission of articles
  • 30 October 2022 – End of reviews
  • 15 November 2022 – End of revisions and submission of corrected manuscripts
  • 30 November 2022 – Completion of review process and receipt of payments
  • 15 December 2022 – Publication of issue
